  • Daughter of China is a novel (with a hint of romance!) based on true testimonies of modern day persecuted Christians in China and women and their daughters who face the one-child policy there.

Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering. Love, God. (Hebrews 13:3 )

Out of a room full of about 100 children, I was surprised to find that there were quite a few who'd read Daughter of China.  Many home schooling families have picked up the book to read together.  (I recommend the book for ages 12 and older or to be read with younger children as a  family).  I asked the children if they liked the book.  One boy said, "I didn't.  It had TOO much kissing!  Yuck!"  Yes, I doubled over laughing.  There is one kissing scene in the entire book, but that was enough for a "yuck" review!

So, close your eyes at the kissing part!

This book is now translated into Dutch, Norwegian, and very soon it will be in German.  Glory to God!

I've heard from readers all over the world, people whose lives were so impacted by reading this book.  I'd like to brag on what Jesus is doing through the lives of the readers of Daughter of China.

(If you'd like to testify about how this book has impacted your life, please email me at hope@seehope.com  and I'll add yours to the list! )

    YOUNG ADULTS/TEENS SAY:

    • One teen held her Bible tight to her chest and told her youth group, “I didn't know how much this Bible really means to me until now.”

    • “I cried and I laughed and I read it in under 24 hours..”

    ·         At Christmas I received this e-mail: "I'm 16 and just finished your book, Our lights were out (power outage).  I got the book for a Christmas present, so I read through the whole night. I couldn't put your book down. I want to help in some way, do you have any suggestions?"

    ·         15 year old home schooler: "I am almost finished reading your book, I hate to put it down. Daughter of  China makes my heart burn with fire and I am humbled by the ability of these precious saints to forgive the people who kill their families and friends. I am daily reminded to forgive people in my life who maybe do the simplest things to my family, like badmouth my brother, or hurt my sisters heart.  Even in these small situations its hard for me to forgive! So the story of these saints is an exhortation I desperately need in my life.

    ·         20 year old university student:  Your book was given to me by my mother and she has instructed everyone in my family that they are to read it.  I am attending  ______ University in Pennsylvania right now but I am also praying Gods will for my life.  China has a special place in my heart now and I know God will use me for his purpose.
